I was a Forums member for 5 years, a moderator for 6 years, and I’ve now been a coach
for 3 years. The day I turned my life to Christ at a Billy Graham crusade in Anaheim, there
was a counselor on the field from Newport Beach who happened to belong to CBMC. He
invited me to come to the Newport Beach CBMC. This was 24 years ago. After coming to the breakfasts every week, So Cal CBMC started a Forums group and I joined right away.

Because I’ve been a businessman most of my life, I related to businessmen.
Christ in the mix made it even more enticing. Initially my primary reason for
getting involved was to see what I could get out of it for my business. Years
later, I sold my business and became a moderator, in order to serve the Lord.

Being in a Forums group helped answer my questions regarding the critical
situations I faced in my business. It’s been a great learning experience for
me, almost like I’ve lived 5 business lives, because of the intimate
business knowledge I gained from the other men in my Forums group.

My wife and I have been married 34 years. We have 4 kids. In the forums,
I have learned what works and doesn’t work from other men, and I’m able
to apply the good from what I learned (and watch out for the bad) – not
only in my business, but in my home life.

Forums has helped me in my walk with Christ. I’ve been able to learn
how other men handle extremely difficult situations and I’ve received
godly council. As I get older, I’m able to find avenues to serve more, in
areas I feel very confident in, and in areas where God wants me. Just
voluntarily being there when my Forums brothers need help has become
natural and instinctive – a source of service and my natural ministry.

Our promise at Forums is (1) a closer person walk with the Lord, (2) running
your business with excellence, and (3) using your business to serve God in a
way that makes sense to you and your business. Bringing Christ into your work
life is not a cookie-cutter approach, it needs to fit you and the type of business
you have. I recommend Forums because it is a blessing to any Christian
businessman who is serious about personal and business growth.
